Inspired by aerial views of the Sahara Desert, the Sahara Flat features rich layers of gold and apricot glass powders. The warm tones of this blown glass vessel are contrasted by a flowing band of brilliant blue glass with a dusting of Italian silver foil. This original design was created for the U.S. Embassy in Nigeria by Vermont based glassblower Randi Solin.
