The Azul Kauri is an exquisite glass sculpture inspired by the ancient Kauri trees of New Zealand, symbolizing their majestic reach towards the sky. Randi Solin, working in her Brattleboro, Vermont studio, meticulously applies seventeen layers of powdered glass to the surface, create a stunning composition of blue glass, accented with flecks of fine silver foil from Japan. This technique results in a rich, textured appearance that captures the essence of the towering Kauri trees. The vibrant blue hues, interspersed with shimmering silver, evoke a sense of depth and movement, drawing the viewer into a serene, otherworldly landscape.

The Azul Kauri is more than just a sculpture; it is a dynamic and captivating representation of nature’s beauty, capturing the timeless allure of the ancient Kauri trees in a form that is both contemporary and timeless.
